Fight for first, get first, lose first. Beltran is not hitting, Pedro Martinez is hardly ever pitching anymore, Ryan Church is no where to be seen, and they leave soooooo many players on base.
It began with the need to replace Willie Randolph. Reluctantly, I will admit they have been doing better with the shakeup. Delgado is hitting again, Perez is pitching again, Pelfry has explained finally why he is in the lineup. AND THEY ARE STILL NOT IN FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!
Really someone tell me, what has to happen to get these guys in the damn series!!??!? For some reason beyond my understanding these guys can't close the deal with these mediocre teams. They wreck the Phillies, and blow the series with the Marlins. It makes no sense. They played well but choked in the end.
They even have a fresh approach that seemingly works. Why can't they just mow them all down?
It is hard god damn work being a mets fan.
