THE EDGE OF REASON, AND THE LINE OF SANITY

I find it very interesting that the republican party has anything to say about leadership and management. These are the people who let this country run rampant through the fields of greed and corruption all the while telling America that things were going fine. They tortured people, manipulated government for their own prosperity, and damaged  relations abroad almost to a point of no reconciliation. None of these things, in my opinion, helped this country thrive. They put their foot on the neck of the country and told us it was for our own good. They used fear to cement their success. They used shortcuts, and put americans lives in danger. The damage is clear now. However, they continue to march forward with half-assed ideology, and doing it with no compass. They do not ask what we need, they tell us what they are going to give us, crushing our most precious asset..... Freedom of choice.

What I am wondering is where they are getting their information? The party is falling apart, they have lost a lot of America's trust and confidence, but they insist they know best. How do they know best?

Well friends, I have a solution that would help the GOP if they would let their ego's have a rest and listen. The solution is to listen. Take gallop polls, straw polls, have some town hall meetings without an agenda. Ask people what they want and expect out of their politicians. Listen!!! Do not just ask a republican demographic. Ask everyone. The gay contingent you are afraid of. Pro-choice people you ignore. The poor you step on, and forget about. The invisible middle class. Ask America what America wants. I think you would be surprised, (it probably does not include that half-wit Palin, or the famously myopic Boehner, or the 'wisdom' of Rove). Jesus, as much as I hate to say it, the best guy for leadership is McCain. He cares, he listens, he votes his conscience!

I am suggesting this only because I see your party is flailing around like an epileptic, hoping it can shake something 'special' to the surface. I am saying, you do not presently have what it is you need; insight, objectivity, and common sense! I think it is important to have several political parties in motion at the same time, because I think you need diversity. I think if you just latched onto that simple idea, you could get on that good track to success. The world is bigger then your wallets, have a look around.
