IS IT YOU?

I read something that made me scream out loud. It was a case involving yet again, driving and stupidity.

I think that drunk driving should be met with jail time. First offense, suspension one year. Second offense, 24 months IN JAIL and permanent loss of your privilege to drive. I don't think there should be any wiggle room. This is being said having spent enough of my own time in the can.

The story that got me was to say the least tragic, and avoidable. Some asshole in the mid-west several years ago was texting his girlfriend while driving down a highway. Witness's would later report he was swerving minutes before the accident. Two people died because he crossed the double yellow line, hitting the on coming car enough to force it to spin out of control.

On the way to the hospital, the driver was in the patrol car of an officer, in the passenger seat, texting. The cop asked him," Were you texting when the accident happened?" The response was an emphatic NO!!!

This dick weed moved up to Canada to push his Mormon beliefs and get on with his life for several years. The cop though, was suspicious and filed a sub-peona for his phone records of that night. He eventually got it three years later. There was the truth. He had been texting his girlfriend from fifteen minutes prior to the accident, and seconds before impact. He was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and did no time. He was inconvenienced with community service.

What killed me was that recently, this jerk-off had the nerve to tell the widow and families of the people he killed, that he was sorry, and didn't understand at the time the dangers of what he was doing. If that were true, and I couldn't see how it would be, why deny it when asked?

He should hope we never cross paths, for I will show him the dangers of what he was doing. We have had auto's in this country for one hundred years. When in that time did anyone say paying attention while driving was optional???

There has to be something to stop this. Alaska I must say has some progressive ideas in this area. To paraphrase,

'Any driver causing an accident while having any visually distracting component within the periphery of the drivers vision will go to jail for a significant amount of time. It does not include GPS, but does include most LCD screens.'

I am really fucking tired of people like this claiming ignorance and the court system allowing that excuse. "I didn't know" or "I didn't understand what I was doing was against the law", should add time onto your sentence. It is high time we really get a leash on this shit. Think about the people you see while driving and what their doing. People watch dvd's, play video games, put on make up, read the paper, text. WAKE UP YOU FUCKING MORONS!!! YOUR DRIVING!!! Your stupidity turns a car into a weapon. People, it's not just the drinks anymore. Is it you?

Can someone please explain to me, why Obama can't come up for breath?

He has only been president for about 45 days and he is being told his plan isn't working and we should change direction. I should mention most of that is coming from an ever decreasing conservative party. That point aside, there is an interference put to Obama, trying to force him to jump through political hoops. Now the latest bill I must admit is suspect. However I believe he will look at it before he signs it. He doesn't strike me as the kind of president who blindly trusts his admin for the big decisions. So I have faith. For now.

But really, proudly pronouncing the party of no by claiming some moral high ground, like looking out for joe the plumber? It was the GOP who brought joe into the garden of eden and tempted his ignorant ass with mortgages and loans they couldn't possibly afford. This was done by de-regulation. It was a classic P.T. Barnum.

 With that said, is that really the message you want to get out? Screw the little guy for now, it's for his own good. (translation: the party's own good.)

What stimulus plan was ever instantaneous? Because it seems that  is the GOP's message these days. How can he do more? Now we wait and watch and see what happens. I believe he is doing the right thing. While he waits for results there, he is over here beginning another project and keeping his people busy. I am  still a bit suspicious though, it is the U.S. government after all, it's reputation is more often then not; dubious!

I think though for sanity sake, as well as the economy, we should give these plans something like six to eight months to see what we can harvest from these bills, plans, and actions that "Move swiftly, and with a sense of purpose".

I think we are well overdue for an overhaul of government, and industry. I guess the question I have is, how do I know this is the right guy? I do occasionally see some 'going off message', but the result seems to out weigh the faux pas. 

I guess it's time we close our eyes, take a deep breathe, and jump! Just make sure you have a parachute and not a nap sac on your back.

A hero ain't nuthin' but a sandwich

I wonder what makes someone think that in any way they are better then someone else. Is it that they have more money, a better education? Does it stem from being a 'tough guy' that makes them believe nobody can fuck with them? Is it insecurity forcing them to push forward a bullshit wall of bravado?

What I have learned over time is that the best thing you can do for yourself is to have the courage to stand up for yourself, knowing you will probably fail, and not letting that interfere.I used to think if I walked away from adversity it would fall back into the abyss. Much of the time that does happen, with a consequence..... you have to live with the decision. Knowing in your eyes you have committed an act of cowardice, is a lot harder to live with then if you stood your ground and lost.

I think simply what I am trying to express here is, be your own hero. Be the person you would look up to by simply doing your best, and standing for what you believe in and who you are. Do not act to impress anyone other then yourself. If you do, more often then not, you will be disappointed. Do not let someone ever get the upper hand. Stay calm, keep your emotions in check, and trust your judgement, you know yourself better then anyone else.

It happened today. I hit a wall. Loneliness and depression crept up on me and embraced me like an old friend. A friend your never happy to see, but for some sickening reason you let in once in a while. 

It feels like a hole pulling you in like a vortex, but it's in the middle of your stomach. No body can understand your state of mind. Nothing makes sense except that whatever you do, whatever you touch, will eventually amount to shit. Any one who talks to you, is full of pity, and quiet contempt. Everyone else justifies their end by not talking to you, or accepting your 'condition' through silence. One minute your angry at anything in your life, the next, your impotent; vulnerable to everything the cruel world offers. Your weighted down with emotion, and exhausted by carrying it even for a short time, and covering it up to make everyone around you feel like everything is normal. It's cellophane membrane keeps you separate at all times from anything normal. You look in the mirror, you see weakness, incompetency.

Every breathe turns into a verification of waste. You don't want to move, you just want to disappear and end up somewhere completely different, with a completely different life. All the mistakes you've made throughout your life are now recent, and every bad or stupid thing you have ever done is now for the public to gawk at and scowl about with or without you there. You believe you have strength, but it's drained by the idea that your strength simply doesn't matter.

How the hell did we end up like this? We are broke, borrowing from the insane, our grass roots companies, i.e. motor, health, tech, is down in the toilet. 

It was greed. No matter how many times I say it however, it doesn't seem to sink in. 

WE ARE NOT NEARLY WHAT WE WERE!!!!!!!!

We should I think become humble with a quickness and realize the world no longer revolves around the U.S.A. I don't think it really is revolving around anything these days. Nothing seems worth the effort. We have a lot of re-grouping to do and we seem too much in denial or too lazy to do anything about it. We all need a swift kick in the ass.

These problems we have, were created by the few who fight for no change. What used to be a fuck you, has turned into a cowardly plea for assistance from the very people they shit on for years. Big banks, wall street, cars, the environment, all of it can not be simply solved by prayer and happy thoughts. It will certainly not be healed by in-fighting about what color the president is, who is having an abortion for what ever reason, or by denying health care to the sick because the symptoms don't match the pinhole criteria set up by disgusting scum at the top of the sector they represent, claiming to save you money by denying claims. The funny part is health costs keep rising.

WAKE UP AMERICA, YOU ARE BEING FUCKED OVER BY THE PEOPLE WHO SAY THEY ARE HELPING YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need hard core revamping asap! Not everything is in the shitter, but in my opinion, there is too much there. You can't properly clean a toilet if it is constantly full of shit! These people have an excuse for everything, and when they are called on it, suddenly they care and want sympathy. I say they should be replaced. I am sure there are competent people in their respective Fields who have ethics, and are not seduced by greed and the philosophies brought about by early seventies politicians.

DEMAND CHANGE!!!!  

Call on a politician to do the right thing for the little guy. Do not allow them to tell you how to live. Tell them how you live and compel them to help you sustain the quality of life you have and create some for those without. Try and volunteer for something you believe in. Send money to a worthy cause. Sell lemonade on the corner. Smile when you walk down the street. Look around and see the worth in what you already have. Be a citizen!
