awareness of self respect

Well something just occurred to me and I wanted to share it with you. It is that people are only as powerful as you allow them to be.

It seems that I have a tendency to always look at a situation through another persons eyes and not consider my perspective. I know it sounds weird.

What I think what happens when you do this is that you almost dismiss your weight on the matter and only accept one point of view. It is self defeating. In fact, it seems most people do the opposite of me.

In any case it seems to me that when you do consider all the facts and still believe yourself to be right, there has to be some credence to it, maybe not enough to justify, but enough to validate.

In fact, a lot of times I have found that saying a good ol' FUCK OFF! once in awhile goes a long way. It is one thing to take the high road, it is another thing to  just accept the path someone else told you to take without thinking about it.

Remember, just because something hasn't turned out in your favor, that doesn't always mean you were wrong. What I have found out is that at times it was a no win situation that festered for a bit. Sometimes there are bias' against you from the start. Sometimes it wasn't meant to be.

This is not a dismissal mind you of poor actions on my part, rather it is an admittance of allowing others to take advantage too often. Be humble, modest when you can, and aware of your fortunes, both good and bad. Remember it's your life, take the reigns!
