WHAT I WOULD DO

Actually, I do have an idea about what we could have done a year ago to possibly be in a better place then we are today. I mean national unemployment hit 10.2%. Banks are as bad as ever. Credit companies continue to give the middle class prison love. Foreclosure at an all time American high. The name I have given this plan is,"We should have said FUCK YOU!".

I believe this began actually with Nixon's corrupt special interest ways. He set up the bloating of health care, and began going after pot dealers with the same zeal as a heroin dealer as an example or two. In any case my thought is we could have put the brakes on and did the right thing. Obama fell short.

My plan is simple, and it would have been effective.

First, put a buffer between the banks and the middle class mortgage. Fund a program, that gives a guaranteed mortgage loan, from the government, to help get the banks off the backs of people, giving them a bit of breathing room. It would not actually be a loan, so much as a grant of sorts, like a FEMA check. That is first.

Second is you tell any TARP backers to go fuck themselves! Too many assholes helped this thing get out of hand, so frankly, it's over for them. Period.

To places that have fallen out for reasons other then corruption, is part three; you give them 14 days to outline a contract loan with the government, with the understanding, there would be no negotiating any amendments the government adds. Period. Your rules, play by them asshole! The days of big bang bonuses are over. No more sandbagging the middle class. In this case, blaming the middle class is like blaming an alcoholic for liking vodka. You offered lies, just like a pedophile would. Sell a house and shut up. You still have more money then god.

Number four. Better incentives for volunteering for military duty. Recruit aggressively, like the NBA, MLB, NFL, etc. Organize our military and diplomatic forgien affairs. Promise to end the strain that presently burdens our military by bringing in fresh young blood. With this, you create jobs, raise a standard or two, and strengthen the defense of this country. While we are at it, put immediate funding together for the country's failing infrastructure. Give incentives for co-ops in large cities to add solar paneling, and windows. Fix bridges and roads. Windmills in the Midwest. Community programs for arts and music. All of it creates jobs.

The fifth thing is you regulate and legalize pot. It's simple. End border wars with Mexican gangs, free up overcrowded prisons and thin the herds and strain by allowing elbow room. Tax the shit and make millions franchising it. Farmers getting ruined because tobacco is dwindling, or tomato crops flooded, can supplement. From agriculture to retail, again, jobs. Jobs that could have been in place, by using a government run program. It's the new soy crop. Use it for now, to generate revenue. Let it help get us out of the hole, and if your still uncomfortable, repeal the shit. It wouldn't be the first time.

Follow this and be diligent. Then when you get re-elected, you can focus completely on healthcare, education, and gay rights, because you would have most things under control. People will have faith because of what has been accomplished. Do this, then strive for bi-partisanship, because you gave everyone a little, instead of giving everyone nothing.

With this program, there would be fewer foreclosures, more jobs, an ease into a stabilizing economy, and more then likely, fewer of your dollars needlessly given to the criminal element in banks and on wall street. Some of the big boys would fail under this plan. As in forestry, sometimes you cut down one large tree, to give three more room to grow. We would be fine with some failure. We always have been. We are America.
